Merseyside Photo Library
Introduction

Virtually all of the images that make up the Merseyside Photo Library have been taken by Ron Jones who has lived and worked in Liverpool and Merseyside most of his life. The images on this website are just a small sample of the thousands of photographs in the collection. If you don’t see what you want here, ask - we may very well have it!

The library’s main strength lies in the breadth and depth of its coverage of contemporary Liverpool and Merseyside, particularly its architecture and cityscape. Images are up-dated on a regular basis since the Liverpool city region is constantly changing. It is not a library which specialises in Merseyside personalities, although you will find some Beatles images here.

Hire fees are based on the use to which images will be put. Simply email or phone me with details of proposed use and I will quote you a “sensible” price.

Most of the images have been taken with a variety of professional film and digital cameras. Quality film scans are produced in-house on an Imacon virtual drum scanner and are usually supplied by email.
